I thought I would just write this, it is about me.
A love I have but can not give is how I feel.
Ever since I can remember I have loved horses, I did not have a doll or a teddy as my first toy it was a horse (which I still have),Everywere I went it came too. While growing up I was always daydreaming about horses it was my safe place. When my brothers & sister got into something I wanted to do horse riding but was never aloud, so I stayed with my daydreaming of them.
I have never had my very own horse the best I have ever come close to having my own is my tattoos of horses.
Anytime we go a place and it has horses my eyes light up and a fire in my belly glows so high I could scream. The other day we stop to get some petrol and there was a few horses in a float, I was meant to go in and pay for the petrol but I could not move from where I was standing. The rest of the world did not seem to be there any more only me the them 3 horses till my husband tap me and told me we had to go.
I'm so a peace when ever Im around them it is like it is meant to be it feels like home/heaven when ever I am around a horse(s).
I know oneday I will have my own horse so I can give this love inside to him/her but till then I will have this fire this sadness of lost love inside.
They say good things come to those who wait, well I have been waiting a long time and I really hope my ticket gets called soon.

Diane, that's beautiful...
And yes, you could sponsor a horse in need - it'd be a marvellous way of expressing the huge amount of love & compassion that you have for horses! And you may even have the opportunity to meet your sponsored horse too (we could tee you up with one that's in foster care close to you). _________________

Agree - know you currently have a lot on your plate "icu2au" ... however, this would be a way of getting to know "our" horses and building a bond with your special one.
If I didn't have the land - I couldn't foster Star - but would def sponsor as (IMHO) it's better than "owning" (cos I'm a novice) ... this way I get learning / access to all of them / and support from a lot of compassionate and V experienced people in SC.
... and when the right time comes for you & family - you might have space and time to adopt your sponsored horse ... not instant dream come true ... but a step on the right path maybe? |

Hi Diane, that is gorgeous. It is a shame you haven't had one as a child. If horses are your passion then there is no 'getting over' them is there _________________
