|
|
This is Tarquin, a 12yo Thoroughbred gelding who was surrendered yesterday afternoon and taken to his new foster home today.
Tarquin's old owners just haven't provided him with even the basic care as you can see. The last time they saw this horse a couple of weeks ago they just left a bag of Burger Rings for him (because he likes them apparently) but didn't bother to leave feed for him at his place of agistment???!!
Witnesses also say until quite recently they have been riding and jumping him in this condition. Thankfully somebody called the RSPCA who strongly recommended to the owners that this horse be surrendered into our care and so now he is safe and in 12 months time he will be completely unrecognisable.

Poor boy There is no excuse for starving him like this..I can feed 11 horses for $120 per week...That's $50 for a 4 ft round grassy bale , $70 pony pellets and a few carrots thrown in.Thats $11 per horse per week and they are all fat and healthy.. his old owners should be flogged for doing this to him
I'm sure he will look beautiful within 6 months with the good care he will be getting now. _________________ When God created the horse he PAINTED the best ones.... |

| Poor sweetie. Such a kind, tired face. I hope he refinds his joy in life soon. |

With you guys amazing work, a belly full of feed and a groom and worming will lift his spirit and make him all the much handsomer |

Doesn't a couple of months of decent feed and care make a difference?? _________________
