Rain

There was a black and white paint mare with a bay at my local doggers yard and every time I came within 50 meters they would run off so I could not get a good look at her. When the dogger told me she was going to get her head chopped off I said " Don't kill her! I;ll have her" So I gave him $400 . he said she's wild and you won't be able to handle her.Well I went to see her later and the paint was by herself.Kirsty my 6 year old daughter walked right up to her and almost touched her, I saw that she wasn't wild.
The next weekend I was in the back paddock working when Mel my oldest daughter called out"Dad your horse is here"
I raced up to the house and this beautiful paint horse came cantering around the house toward me. My heart missed a beat at the sight of such a beautiful creature I could see every rib and her hips stuck out. Now old Albert our welsh pony likes paints and raced over to get her phone number and his girlfriend Tia flew up the paint. Tia then gave old Albert an earful The Kids named her Rain.
Rain blossomed into a beautiful, gleaming girl with a heart of gold.To my surprise Rain was broken in to be ridden but the sales and the dogger had done their damage.She was so shy and timid and had lost all trust of people.It took nearly 1 year untill she would trust again.Rain has an inner beauty, hasn't got a mean bone in her body and welcomes any new horse that comes here.Every time I see that beauty my heart skips a beat and I feel so lucky to have her in my life..You see Rain has galloped away with a piece of my heart Very Happy
