|
|
We have just had a new pony surrendered to Second Chance. This little shetland gelding has had a very rough trot. It seems he was more or less running feral until late last year and has been through the Mundijong Horse Auctions three times since January!!
He is very, very timid and scared of everyone. He will take a lot of gentle, consistant work to bring him out of his shell and we are very lucky that we have some excellent, experienced new carers to help him.
He is expected to be in Foster Care for quite some time.
No name yet, we are waiting for his carers to come up with something appropriate for the little fella.

Name ideas - Dark Waters?
He looks like a fuzzy little black bear - Ursus? (Latin for bear)
Audax is Latin for bold - maybe it will give him courage.
Poor little guy. |

| Poor little guy-makes me mad that someone sold him on as a kids pony!! Very unfair on him and the child who could end up dead or badly hurt!! |

Yes it is very dangerous, it is very lucky the buyer was knowledgable and knew at once when she got him home that he wasn't suitable for kids at all.
He has a name! Due to his woolly appearance and in the hopes for a carefree future he has been named Baloo by his carers. _________________
