My Rescue.....ANNA |
|
Well hi there all
Just thought I would try and tell you about my mare 'Anna' as she was a RSPCA horse and now I have her.
well lets start at the beginning......Anna is a T/B chestnut mare about 16 hands .....a friend of mine got this horse straight from the RSPCA and came to my place .....UMMMM well I had been told about the condition of this mare but I couldn't believe my eyes when she came to my place and my friend took off her rug(rug was to hide her very bad condition, to come to my place)my hubby and a couple of other friends just stood there with our hands over our mouths and couldn't believe what we were seeing.
This poor mare was on drugs the first couple of days to keep her alive and she pulled through so then started her long trip to recovery, her feet were very bad as well as her teeth, coat and body condition so we started to slowly feed her and keeped her warm she was stabled at night and put in big paddock with new friends and lots of feed and lots of hay,we keep a track of her progress by taking photos and now she is as big and fat as all of mine are.She arrived at my place on the 4th Aug 06 and the first pics were taken the 11th aug.
so I need to get my pics up now
and this lot was taken about 12 weeks from the day she arrived, and I need to get so more realy up to date one.

Oh the poor girl! It beats me how on earth people can allow their animals to fall to that kind of condition. Kudos to you and your friends and family for bringing her around! She looks so much better.
According to her brand, she was born at the same stud as both Second Chance's first rescue horse (Spud) and my own horse Levi!

Tell us more about her... is she 17 or 7 years old? Did the RSPCA give you any background on her? What do you plan on doing with her?
She's such a pretty girl.
Oh, and has anyone ridden her yet? LOL I love hearing about happy endings to rescue stories!
