Looking for an old mate |
|
Well many moons ago, my grandparents owned this gorgeous appy yearling. My gran mentioned to me just now she'd be very interested to see how the little fellow was doing so I said I'd give it a go tracing him and see what we came up with.
So - here's all the details.
Phoenix (although name may have been changed to Felix by the new owners) would now be approx 8/9 years old. He is a fewspot Appaloosa gelding with a star and stripe, and white fetlocks (see pic below). He had no brands at the time and was never registered.
He has a scar on the top of one foreleg, and a dark patch on his right fore which is also visible in the photo.
He was sold from the Miniature Village in York to a family who's children fell in love with him and begged to have him even though it meant they wouldn't actually be able to ride him for a couple of years. I believe the family were from somewhere in the Perth Metro area but no idea where.
He was sold as a yearling, or perhaps yearling and a half, in 1997/1998.
Any leads or possibilities I would love to know for my Gran who did love the little chap.
Thanks!
