Forum Etiquette

ETIQUETTE:

Typing in Caps in a whole post means you are yelling at someone. Caps are fine if you want to emphasise a particular word but a whole post in caps is considered rude.

Sms text in posts is a no-no as it makes it difficult for many too read

Be respectful of your fellow members,they are the ones that are trying to help by answering your post/question.

Realise there is NO advertising allowed on the forums except when placed in the APPROPRIATE BOARD. We are trying to raise funds by having a classifieds section for Second Chance which is a NON PROFIT CHARITY. It only costs $15 for an ad (wanted and free ads are free), please pay for it like everyone else does and save me a headache by going in an having to edit your post!

Thank your fellow members for helping you if they do. Nobody likes to think they've been taken for granted.

Check your posts before you hit send, look from the point of view of someone else reading it, not how you've written it. If you think it might be offensive, change your wording so it isnt.

Keep your personal issues/gripes with someone private. The whole forum doesn't want to get involved in your issues that shouldn't even make their way onto the board!

Realise I do have a life and will get around to responding to your emails or private messages when I can.

Also realise you dont need to go and post just to ask someone did they receive your email. If you need to see if they have, ask for a return receipt when you send the mail! All mail programs have this function.

Realise I have to read EVERYTHING, not just pick and choose what I like to read like you do!

If you don't like the answers you might receive then don't post the question! People can only give you their opinion,their opinion might not be what you want to hear! At least they've taken the trouble to read your post and respond! Appreciate people's time.
