For my young horse it is Alpaca's. and goats, and dogs.... but mainly the alpacas. which seems ridiculous considering there are 2 next door, he should be used to these by now!!
As for the floating, when I bought my horse he was 2 and a half, halter broken and when I went to pick him up he had a large scrape across the top of one eye. They told me he had been taking for a 'float ride' the day before to remind him what floating was all about, they then proceeded to load him in front of me pushing him with a broom! Needless to say after he got off the float he wasn't really interested in going anywhere near them again.
When I began re-training with the float he was very very concerned with the roof, and would walk up the ramp but not go any further, just looking at the roof. I assume he hit his head at some point. So what did I do? I got the roof on my float raised 30cm!! after that he was happy to go in.
I took everything really slow with him and now I just throw the rope over his neck and he walks on himself.
I had an old Loadstar and about a year ago he outgrew it. It was the funniest thing to see his right eye continually looking out the window because he had no where else to put his head!! I think if the window was open he would have had to stick his nose out the window.....
