My story of Beelo-Bi Ocker, a pony whom not only touched my heart but my sole and he will always be apart of me no matter who his legal owner is.

I firstly met Ocker at the Beelo-bi stud auction, to be honest I did not really pay much attention to him as I had my eyes set on Beelo-bi Black Lace, another stunning pony bred by Bob, although Lace was a amazing pony she was only 12.2hh and that was just to small for me. All the ponies went through the auction and sold to wonderful homes although Bob passed Ocker in as he did not reach the price he was looking for, when Bob came to us and asked if I would be interested in taking Ocker as he would like to give him to me, he stated he knows he will be going to a wonderful home and will be loved and used to his full potential, I was stunned! I cried and cried I was so amazed that this beautiful pony could be mine. My mother and I spoke about it and she told me that we were not in a position to take on a young pony and train it, so that was that I thought I was not getting him. Then one day after school mum came and picked my sister and I up and took us out to the horses to ride and when I got there Ocker was in the round yard waiting for me, this was one of the best days of my life, he was really going to be my pony after all! Ocker and I went through a huge journey together I had help breaking him in by Anna and Collin Duffy and from then on I trained him myself, we did everything together, from Trail Riding through to Cutting and Western and then through to Hacking and Breed Classes not only did we compete in these events we did them all with success. Ocker and I had to many placing to list although we had some very memorable placing including;
Champion Australian Pony Gelding 2004 Perth Royal Show
3rd Ridden Australian Pony Mare or Gelding 2004 Perth Royal Show
Supreme Western Exhibit South West Show Horse Association
Champion Pony Hack Busselton Hack and Dressage Day
Working Australian Pony of the year 2003
Working Australian Pony of the year 2004
Rural Australian Pony of the year 2004

I have now sold Ocker onto a new home, although he will be sadly missed Ocker is now teaching Siobhan the ropes of competition.
